Dear Valued Customer,

We're writing to let you know about some upcoming changes that may impact customers sending items from Australia to New Zealand.

New Zealand – new government charges

From 1 April 2026, the New Zealand Government will introduce new charges that affect both postal and commercial goods entering New Zealand. For further information, please refer to the New Zealand Government website.

A new charge will be applied at a rate of NZD $2.21 per item. This will apply to low-value goods (items with a value at or less than NZD $1,000) and will be charged per consignment.

From 1 April 2026, Australia Post will pass these New Zealand Government charges through to commercial customers as a separate NZ Customs Levy.

The NZ Customs Levy will appear as a separate line item on your monthly billing invoice.
